Find the figures. Work out the answer.

Answer 18 numerical questions across six business data sets in 18 minutes.

  1. Read the table or chart, checking its units, labels and time period. Each data set is used for three questions.
  2. Select one of four answers with the mouse, touch or keys 1–4. Press OK or Enter to confirm.
  3. Use pen, paper and a calculator. Questions cover values, ratios, percentage changes, averages and multi-step calculations.
  4. There is one overall 18-minute clock. You can change a selection before confirming; confirmed questions cannot be revisited during this practice run.
  5. Worked solutions appear at the end. Pausing, opening instructions or switching tabs stops the practice clock and hides the question.

This is independent practice. Candidate reports and preparation guides describe 18 questions in 18 minutes; follow your employer’s invitation for the live assessment’s tools and rules. Later data varies on a new run.

A useful way to approach it

Check units, labels and the time period first. Use the original value as the denominator for percentage change, and keep intermediate figures precise.

Understanding your results

Review worked solutions across all six data sets. The opening question is fixed and later data varies between runs; practice results are not an official assessment score.
